Mr. Manuel passed away March 19, 2018, in Temple.
Savion Zamir Manuel son of Andre Corbett (Katrina) and April Triplett (James) was born June 6, 1998 in Bamberg Germany where he first discovered his love for women at the tender loving age of 2. He return to the U.S. with his mother who was stationed in El Paso, Texas.
At the age of 6, Savion was relocated to Augusta, GA where he spent 2 yrs of his life developing his keen sense of style and contagious personality. Savion was always a loving kid who didn't have an ounce of bad in him but let him tell it he was HARD (lol hard). By this time, he enjoyed playing sports and going to school. Savion enjoyed school so much that he decided he wanted to learn algebra at the age of 6 (not like a typical child would). During this time, he spent countless hours in both South Carolina and Georgia sharing his priceless gut busting humor as he has been doing since he was able to open his mouth. He then relocated to his current home in Copperas Cove, Texas where he grew to be an outstanding young man.
Savion was known by his teammates as being the fastest on the soccer team earning him the nickname of Speedy which he came to love once he got past his attitude of always wanting to score the winning goal. He had a very, very, very short time of playing football only after realizing that he was better at basketball and humor than football. He played basketball with the Copperas Cove Crusaders for two years honing in on his skills to help his hopes and dreams of becoming a professional basketball player one day.
During his junior year of high school, Savion realized he was interested in electronics and decided to offer his skills by repairing cell phones as a hobby. Savion graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 2016 and followed his love of electronics to the University of Northern Texas (UNT) Denton. Savion was studying to obtain his degree in Electronic Engineering with a minor in Psychology because he wanted to make lots of money while continuing to help others. He had dreams of one day playing for the Oklahoma Thunders NBA team. He was also working towards becoming a walk on player for UNT slowly working towards his dreams. He was a Kevin Durant and a Baltimore Ravens Fan (sorry for him).
Savion was a very high spirited, eclectic dressing, one of a kind and a very special young man who at the sight of seeing made you fall in love even during times when you were most upset with him.
Savion will leave to cherish is memory to his Mothers and Fathers, 7 sisters, 5 brothers, 19 aunts, (proceeded by 1 aunt), 8 uncles, 4 grand mothers, 3 grandfathers, (proceeded by 1 grandfather), 2 great grandmothers and a host of great aunts, uncles and grand cousins. Savion lived a life that truly justified happiness, love and compassion. He leaves a piece of him with every person who ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. Savion was called home to start his new spiritual career with God on March 19, 2018 and will forever be loved and missed by each of us.
