Funeral service for Zeontre DaShon Horton 19, of Killeen, Texas will be held Friday, September 13, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the Christian House of Prayer in Copperas Cove, TX. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the church.

A second viewing will be held Friday, September 13, 2019, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at King-Tears Mortuary in Austin, TX.

Zeontre passed away August 28, 2019 in Fort Hood, Texas.

Zeontre Da'Shon Horton was born November 27, 1999 to Christian Chimere Hopes and Zedrick Keith Horton in Austin, Texas. He was affectionately known as "Tinky" to his family and friends.

As a child, Zeontre was introduced to the teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He attended schools in Austin, before relocating to Killeen with his mom and younger brothers in 2013. He would later initiate membership at Christian House of Prayer of Killeen, attending service alongside his grandmother. Zeontre adored his role as a big brother and loved his brothers dearly.

Zeontre was preceded in death by his uncle Maurice Horton, Jr., maternal grandmother Marilyn Louise Hopes-Lee, paternal grandmother Nola Marie Hill-Horton, paternal grandfather Maurice Horton, maternal great-grandparents L.C. Hardeman and Dorothy Deloris Wade-Hill, paternal great-grandparents Lee Edward Hill and Bertha Mae Morris-Hill.

Left to cherish his memory are: his mom, father, brothers Kion Horton of Austin, Zerayvoun Hopes-Horton, Christian Hopes-Horton and Tristan Hopes-Horton all of Killeen; grandparents James Demus Hopes, Jr. of Austin and Lura Hopes of Killeen; aunts Laura Pruitt (Harold) of Killeen, Demetria Hopes-Tasby of Austin, Denise Thomas (Chris) of Houston, Kimberly Horton-Johnson (Dashawn) of Austin, Jamie Hopes-Johnson (Marco) of Hutto, Latrice Hopes (Jeremy) of Killeen; uncles James Latharrel Hopes of Austin, Titus Alexander (Ahisha) of Fort Worth, Cordele Anthony Hopes of Austin; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

He will be greatly and truly missed.
