Funeral service for Mr. William Jimmie Thompson, 37 of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Mr. Thompson passed away May 2, 2022, in Killeen, TX. He was born June 21, 1984, in Leesville, LA.

William Jimmie Thompson was born June 21, 1984, in Leesville, Louisiana, to William Jimmie Stewart, Jr., of Leesville, Louisiana, and Betty Virginia Burks of Coushatta, Louisiana.

While living at Andrews Air Force Base Maryland, he attended James R. Ryder Elementary School and went to Mt. Ennon Baptist Church in Clinton, Maryland, where he participated in the Youth Choir and with the Youth Ushers. He later relocated to Leesville, Louisiana, and attended Leesville High School where he graduated number two in his class. He later became a union member of local 482 of the Iron Workers Association in Austin, Texas. As a member of the union, he worked as a glazer for Harmon Glass Company and Haley Greer, where he hung windows in skyscrapers; a welder and steel connector; and a rigger, where he was responsible for providing directions for crane operators.

William took great pleasure in being a good father to his children, as well as being very active in the life of his nieces and nephews. In his spare time, he loved to cook. He would light up the room with his smile. He constantly talked about his brilliant ideals of being a millionaire one day and building an empire for his children. He loved to tell jokes and would make you so mad, but would always come back with another joke so funny that you would forget you were even mad.

William transitioned from his earthly home on May 2, 2022, in Killeen, Texas.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: both parents; three children, Zillah Thompson, Beautiful Thompson, and William Thompson, Jr.; three sisters, Shemekia Thompson of Killeen, Texas, Olympia Stewart (Courtney) Zeno of Warner Robins, Georgia and Belinda Stewart of Leesville, LA; a brother, Courtland Stewart of Alexandria, Virginia; nieces/nephews, Dynastie Jones, Kendrea Jones, and Monte Stewart, all residing in Georgia, and Jada Thompson, Jasaria Thompson, and Jayden Thompson, all residing in Killeen, Texas; ten great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
