Memorial service for Mr. William Jerome Baker III aka "J", 23 of Harker Heights, TX will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Mr. Baker passed away February 13, 2023, in Harker Heights, TX. He was born June 15, 1999, in Crestview, FL.

William Jerome Baker III, lovingly known as "Jay," was born in Okaloosa County, Florida, to parents William Jerome Baker, Jr., and Brenda Sue Gaines.

Jay grew up in Killeen, Texas, primarily. He attended grade school at Iduma, Live Oak Ridge for middle school, and successfully graduated in 2018 from Shoemaker High School.

Jay loved his family and friends. He was beloved by the people he interacted with. Everywhere he went, he left smiles on everyone's faces with his hilarious, kind-spirited personality. He loved adventure, whether it was a trip to the casino, going out of state for travels, or making memories in Austin, Texas, with his friends. In 2019, he adopted his beloved dog, Rocky. Jay cherished their moments together with trips to the dog parks, spending downtime together, and getting photos taken of the two of them. He was aspiring to continue his education and pursue the medical field; he wanted it to take him all over the world so he could help others while also experiencing new locations. He loved to celebrate 420, and he believed in living life to the fullest every day.

Left to cherish his memories are: mother, Brenda Ellis; stepmother, Kimberly "Kilo" Ellis; father, William Jerome Baker, Jr.; stepmother, Janice Baker; siblings and step-siblings, Khalilah V. Baker, Natari M. Gaines, Alexis M. Baker, Sahrii A. Reid, and Kaden M. Ellis; nephews, Preston E. Smith and Paris F. Baker; and a host of loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Baker, and uncle, Frederick Baker. We will cherish him forever.
