Funeral service for Mrs. Willa Mae Magee, 76 of Killeen, TX will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Adams Chapel AME Church in Harker Heights, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Willa Mae Magee, affectionately known as Tiny, was born to William and Retha Harper on January 17, 1947, in Bristow, Oklahoma. Willa accepted Christ at an early age. She passed away October 25, 2023, in Harker Heights, TX.
She was a member of Adams Chapel A.M.E. Church from 1976 until her death. Willa faithfully attended and humbly served on many boards and auxiliaries until her health failed her.
She was united in marriage to Marshall Magee on July 26, 1971. They were blessed with two wonderful sons, Terrance Edwin and William Dewayne. Willa was a great cook and loved to cook and bake for her family and friends.
Willa was employed with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service / Post Exchange in Fort Hood, Texas.
She later began working for the State of Texas Department of Human Services until her retirement in 2007. She leaves to cherish her memories: her two sons, Terrance Magee (Jill) of Harker Heights, Texas, and William Magee (Loleeta) of Lawton, Oklahoma; ten grandkids; two great-grandkids; three bonus sons, James Miller, Sr., Kenneth Smith, and Craig Fletcher; and a host of other relatives and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Magee; parents, William and Retha Harper; and brother, William "Bill" Harper.
