Wanda Denise Porter was born on May 31, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland to Estelle Brooks and Gilbert Barksdale, Sr. On September 4, 2023; Wanda, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend transitioned from earth to heaven. Wanda accepted Christ at 12 years old and was a faithful member of Destiny World Outreach Center and often visited Turning Point Bible Fellowship Church where her daughter and son-in-love attend.
Wanda is a proud graduate of San Clemente High School, San Clemente, California. Wanda had a vibrant career as a loyal Mental Health Tech and worked at the Meridell Achievement Center for 22 years. Wanda loved poetry, drawing, going on nature walks, and listening to music. She was also very creative and quite crafty. Friendly, loving, thoughtful, caring, generous, classy, always smiling, laughing, and selfless were some of Wanda's most amazing attributes.
