Funeral service for Mr. Victor Manuel Santana Rodriguez, 71 of Hutto, TX will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Mr. Rodriguez passed away January 14, 2023, in Hutto, TX.

Victor Manuel Santana Rodríguez nació el día 26 de enero de 1951 en Naguabo, Puerto Rico a Carmen Rodríguez y Alejandro Santana, su padre. Victor era el mayor de 9 hermanos: Julio, Mary, Antonio "Tony", Pedro, Jane, Lucy, Tere y Wanda. Le sobreviven, su esposa Gloria Viera, sus hijos Sally, Zoé, Patricia, Gisela y Victor Andrés El "Bebo", sus nietos Gabriela, Michael, Aleyra, Daniel y Diego. Y el mismo día de su fallecimiento nació su primer biznieto de nombre Ezequiel.

Victor, desde los 9 años, fue a vivir y creció con su bisabuela, mejor conocida como "Mama Cruz", quien lo crio y lo levanto a ser un hombre de bien y con temor a Dios.

El hizo estudios y obtuvo maestrías en educación y teología en la academia Wesleyana de Vega Alta, Puerto Rico y su llamado lo llevo al pastoreo en la Iglesia Wesleyana de Santurce, Puerto Rico.

Victor siempre mencionaba a "Mama Cruz" como su modelo de disciplina y fortaleza, atributos por los cuales todos nosotros hoy podemos decir, "Gracias, Mama Cruz por su trabajo". Ese ejemplo hoy se le ha dejado a sus hijos, nietos y biznieto.

Hace aproximadamente 10 años llega Victor a Killeen, Texas a la Iglesia Sinaí y se integra al sistema de Redes, hoy conocida como "Grupos de Vida". Allí se gano el respeto y aprecio sincero de los hermanos de la Fe y sus Pastores.

Victor trabajo en Killeen en el sistema Escolar de Transporte KISD en donde también se gano el respeto y aprecio de sus compañeros de trabajo y mas recientemente en el sistema escolar de Hutto, Texas, en donde hasta su fallecimiento permaneció trabajando.

El amor de su vida ha sido Dios y el amor terrenal ha sido su amada esposa, Gloria, mejor conocida como "Tuty" quien lo ha acompañado y apoyado hasta su jornada final junto con hermanos, hijos, nietos, biznietos y todos los hermanos de la Fe.

Victor ha ganado la victoria de la Fe. Su versículo preferido era:

"Aclamad a Jehovah porque El es bueno; porque su misericordia es eterna." – 1Cronicas 16:34

Victor Manuel Santana Rodríguez was born on January 26, 1951, in Naguabo, Puerto Rico to Carmen Rodríguez and Alejandro Santana, his father. Victor was the oldest of 9 siblings: Julio, Mary, Antonio "Tony", Pedro, Jane, Lucy, Tere and Wanda. He is survived by his wife Gloria Viera, his children Sally, Zoé, Patricia, Gisela and Victor Andrés El "Bebo", his grandchildren Gabriela, Michael, Aleyra, Daniel and Diego. And on the same day of his death his first great-grandson named Ezekiel was born.

Victor, from the age of 9, went to live and grew up with his great-grandmother, better known as "Mama Cruz", who raised him and raised him to be a good man with fear of God.

He studied and earned master's degrees in education and theology at the Wesleyan Academy in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico and his calling led him to pastor at the Wesleyan Church in Santurce, Puerto Rico.

Victor always mentioned "Mama Cruz" as his model of discipline and strength, attributes for which all of us today can say, "Thank you, Mama Cruz for your work." That example has now been left to his children, grandchildren and great-grandson.

About 10 years ago, Victor arrived in Killeen, Texas at the Sinai Church and joined the network system, now known as "Life Groups". There he earned the respect and sincere appreciation of the brothers of the Faith and their Pastors.

Victor worked at Killeen in the KISD School Transportation system where he also earned the respect and appreciation of his co-workers and most recently in the school system in Hutto, Texas, where until his death he remained working.

The love of his life has been God and earthly love has been his beloved wife, Gloria, better known as "Tuty" who has accompanied and supported him until his final day along with brothers, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all the brothers of the Faith.

Victor has won the victory of the Faith. His favorite verse was:

"Hail the Lord because He is good; for his mercy is eternal." – 1Chronicles 16:34
