Mr. Blackburn Johnston passed away October 5, 2023, in Austin, TX.

Tyrone Nathaniel Blackburn, affectionately known as Tyrone Curtis, was born on December 30, 1982, to Lucrecia Damaris Johnston and Kevin Blackburn at Santo Thomas Hospital in Panama City, Panama. He came in to the world with his other half Curtis Irving Blackburn, and while distance may have often separated them in life, Tyrone Curtis and Curtis Tyrone were never truly far apart.

Tyrone was a true Zonian and grew up in Pedro Miguel, Panama on Calla Obispó in the home of his grandparents, Lena and Rudolfo Richards, affectionately known as Gan-Gan and Papi. In 1992, Tyrone and his twin, under the guidance of his mother and stepfather, embarked on their grand adventure to the United States and moved first to North Carolina before settling in Quincy, FL in 1997. In high school, Tyrone was a member of the JROTC and attained the rank of Company Commander with aspirations to enter the military upon graduation. Unfortunately, he was unable to pursue his dream due to his asthma. It was in Quincy that the twins began their venture to become the next Ying Yang Twins with Curtis releasing a two track CD featuring Tyrone under the name C-Los with the tracks Dead People and Quincy. With the stage name King Kobra, Tyrone, and Curtis, later went on to join the 211 Boys in Tallahassee, releasing a CD entitled Deuce 11 where both are featured. Wanting better opportunities, Tyrone moved to Texas in 2005 where he would spend the remainder of his life. Over the past 5 years, Tyrone was a dedicated driver for the Austin Capital Metro. During the Pandemic, he worked tirelessly to ensure his fellow essential workers reached their destinations receiving accolades and words of thanks from Austin Capital Metro and the community.

Tyrone is survived by: his children, Tyra Mone't Blackburn, Nathalia Reyna Rodriguez, twins, Jared Nathaniel and Jahziel Nathaniel Blackburn, Ivonnue Colon Blackburn Jackson, and Iris Dior Blackburn; parents, Lucrecia Damaris Hinson and Kevin Blackburn Sr. and stepfather Wes Hinson; siblings, Marquita Norwood, Kevin Blackburn Jr., twin, Curtis Irving Blackburn, Samuel Mallett, Andrew Blackburn-King, and Kyra Latrice Blackburn; grandparents, Inis J. Blackburn and Condy Johnson; and a loving host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents Lena Locke Lewis Richards, Rudolfo Richards, and Roberto Johnston and great grand grandmother Ivy Lewis Small.
