Brother Trejon Najheem Roberts was called home on March 2, 2025, at his residence in Killeen, Texas. He was born on September 28, 1997, to Mr. Eduardo and Jurea Roberts in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. As a military child, Trejon received his early education at various private schools before settling in Fort Hood, where he attended Audie Murphy Middle School and later graduated from Ellison High School in 2017.
Trejon was an accomplished basketball player who had a deep love for the game. His passion for basketball began in childhood, playing at the Killeen Boys and Girls Club before joining his first AAU team, the Glen Burnie Seminoles in Maryland. In 2009, his team placed 2nd at the AAU Nationals for ages 11 and up. Upon returning to Fort Hood, he continued playing for various AAU teams and showcased his skills at numerous basketball camps. In 2020, his dedication to the sport earned him a partial scholarship to Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas.
Trejon was also deeply committed to his faith. He was an active member of Temple of Faith Apostolic Ministries, where he played the drums and volunteered his time feeding the homeless and participating in clothing drives.
He was known for his radiant smile, kind heart, and selfless nature. Trejon had a way of brightening any room he entered. He was a loving and charismatic young man who always sought to help others, often giving his last to those in need. His family and friends cherished his presence, and his lighthearted nature made him a joy to be around. In addition to his athletic talents, he was a gifted dancer—though he often preferred to joke and play around when showing off his moves.
Trejon's memory will forever be treasured by Father Eduardo (Nigel) Roberts; his Grandmothers Elvia Roberts and Nettie Toni McCoy; Brothers Jahvon Byrd and Kharsen Morant; Sisters Samaria Roberts, Karianna Mason, and Soinkne Morant; Uncles Nathaniel Sims, Bernard Howard, and James Howard; Aunts Wanda Roberts, Sandra Kim Byrd, Oniika Howard Okehie, and Nicole Howard; Nieces, Nevaeh Larie Steele and Maliyah Italy Byrd; Nephew, Jordan Zyhir Brown; and a host of beloved family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving mother Jurea R. Roberts, Grandparents, Eduardo Roberts Jr., Manuel & Sandra Byrd, and Bernard McCoy, and Uncle Gregorio Roberts.
