Memorial service for Ms. Tara Deann Bailey, 59 of Nolanville, TX will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.

God called another one of his children home on August 25, 2025.

Tara DeAnn (Mitchell) Bailey was born at Altus Air Force Base in Altus, Oklahoma, August 29, 1965, and grew up in the San Fernando Valley, CA, where she attended Langdon Elementary, Sepulveda Junior High, and graduated from James Monroe High School.

After spending ten years in Killeen, Texas, Tara's journey led her overseas to Kuwait, where she built a fulfilling career spanning more than 24 years as a Senior Environmental Engineer. She was more than a manager to her team—she was a mentor, a confidante, and a source of love and encouragement.

Tara was a radiant woman, inside and out, whose presence lit up every room. She carried herself with confidence and grace—a true diva, stylish, fashionable, and unapologetically herself. Her love for the color red reflected her fire, passion, and vibrant soul. Though not a teacher by profession, Tara was a teacher in life, always sharing wisdom, guiding others, and offering words of encouragement. She lived with a song in her heart and a dance in her step, bringing joy and light everywhere she went.

Her adventurous spirit carried her across the globe, as she embraced new cultures and experiences with enthusiasm. Of all her roles in life, being a grandmother to her beloved Remi brought her the greatest joy. She delighted in every moment, showering her with love, laughter, and warmth. Tara also enjoyed simple pleasures—such as watching the Investigation Discovery Channel—reflecting her curious mind and love for a good mystery.

Above all, Tara loved deeply and gave selflessly, always ready to help and care for those she held close to her heart. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Tara is preceded in death by Jeanette A. Manning (Mother), Helen B. Green (Grandmother), Roman Amos (Grandson), and Ricky D. Willis (Brother).

She is survived by her father Lamar Manning; her children Brandi Amos (Clayton) and Darius Abraham; her granddaughter Remi Amos; siblings Arthur, Lawrence, James, Nicole (Marvin), Cory (Erika), Shuncy (Loris), and Kelly; biological father James Edward Mitchell Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and friends who loved her dearly.
