Funeral service for Mrs. Susie Ella Wilson, 92 of Temple, TX will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilson passed away November 1, 2021 in Killeen, TX.

Susie Ella (Head) Wilson was born on November 11, 1928, to the late John Wesley Golden and Emma Mae Richardson Head in Water Valley, Mississippi.  She was preceded in death by her Husband Fred Wilson as well as eight of her siblings, Johnnie, Bessie, Jeanette, Walter, Charles, Emma, Benjamin, and Alonzo.

She is survived by her loving sister Rose Edwards of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Kay (John) Suttles of Atlanta, Georgia, Joseph Guice III, Robert (Mary) Guice, Thelma Matthews and Charles Clark all of Killeen, Texas.  Three stepdaughters, Patricia (Les) Wilson of Topeka Kansas, Chenita Loving of San Antonio, Texas, and Vivian (Harvey) Jones of Killeen, Texas.  Four stepsons, Fred (Denise) Wilson of Harvey, Illinois, Bill (Sandra) Murry of McKinney, Texas, Maurice Wilson, and Kenneth Wilson, both of Atlanta, Georgia.

Susie was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren leaving a legacy of four generations.

Susie and her husband Fred always enjoyed Sunday morning worship and lived life to the fullest.  As members of the RV club, Windy City Travelers they traveled many miles making great memories.  Everyone that knew Susie could recognize that she was a "True Diva."

Susie loved life, family, cooking, traveling, and music.  Her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews were always on the receiving end of her love and joy when they received their "CARD" to acknowledge their special day!!  Susie never missed sending out cards and it was her ministry of love that encouraged so many through the years.  To all of the family she was affectionately known as "The Card Lady."  Lovingly addressed as Mother, Sassy Susie, Sue, Grandma, and Grandma Susie, she will be forever in our hearts and missed.
