Funeral service for Ms. Sharon LaVern Gaither, 58 of Killeen, TX will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at the Christian House of Prayer Copperas Cove Campus, in Copperas Cove, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the church.

Sharon LaVern Gaither was born to Cathy Hollistine Witcher Gaither and George Gaither Sr. on July 9, 1967, in Shelby, North Carolina. She passed away November 3, 2025, in Killeen, TX.

She was the devoted mother of three children — Dante' Ladrick, Michael Dion, and Cathy Hollistine — and the proud grandmother of her beloved "Baby Hurricane," Sarai Gianna. As a dedicated mother, Sharon's presence was a constant in her children's lives. She never missed a game, track meet, concert, or award ceremony, always cheering from the stands with joy and pride.

Growing up as a military child, Sharon traveled the world and graduated from Fort Knox High School. She went on to earn her associate degree in criminal justice and became a respected pillar of her community. Sharon served on many committees and organizations, including Free My City Outreach, Inc., and as CEO of The Council and CEO of 2 Face Riduaz. She was also a successful business owner, operating Cathy's Playhouse, Tire Kingdom, and U-Haul Moving & Storage. In addition, she proudly served as a Texas Notary Public.

A devoted Christian, Sharon was a faithful member of the Christian House of Prayer, where she found joy in worship, studying the Bible, and serving the Lord she loved so deeply. Sharon was selfless, caring, and strong — a woman who touched countless lives. Her compassion and generosity shone through in all she did. She brought light, love, and laughter to everyone blessed to know her.

Remaining in the earthly realm to continue her legacy are her children: Dante' (Sara Lee), father to her only grandchild, Sarai Gianna, Michael (Jaleia), and Cathy. She is also survived by her father, 1SGT (Ret.) George H. Gaither Sr.; her brother George Jr., father to Devyn, Ke'Oni, Kaliya, George III, Camdon, and Caiden; her sister LaTasha Trimese, mother to Kimora; and nieces and nephew born to her late sister Pamela — Asia, DaVonte', and N'Dia. Sharon also leaves behind many extended relatives, friends, and colleagues who will cherish her memory forever.

She was preceded in death by her mother Cathy, biological father John D. Laborn, and sister Pamela.

Sharon had a heart that held endless compassion. She was the kind of person who always put others before herself — offering comfort, encouragement, and understanding without expecting anything in return. Her kindness shone in the smallest gestures: a gentle word, a helping hand, a sincere smile. She listened not just to respond, but to truly understand, making everyone she met feel seen, valued, and loved. Her selflessness wasn't loud or showy; it was woven into everything she did — a quiet but powerful force that continues to touch lives even now.

Her kindness, love, and legacy will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
