Funeral Service for SFC Brent Emmanuel Skeete 39, of Killeen, Texas will be held Monday, May 16, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas.

Brent Emmanuel Skeete was born June 18, 1982, to the parents Michael Skeete and Crescenta Steeple in Brooklyn, NY.  He attended and graduated from Ellison High School in Killeen, TX in 2001, where he was on the wrestling and football team. After high school he attended Cisco Junior College in Cisco, TX.

Brent enlisted in the United States Army in 2007 and served his country proudly for 15 years. During his service he did tours in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. His medals and awards, and achievements include: The Defense Meritorious Service Medal,7 Army Commendation Medal, 7, Army Achievement Medal, 2, Army Good Conduct Medal, 4, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal w/Bronze Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon, 3, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, 3 Right Side Awards, Meritorious Unit Commendation (Army), Driver and Mechanic Badge Bar, Driver-W (for wheeled vehicles), Combat and Special Skill Badge Basic Marksmanship Qual Badge Bar, Weapon: Rifle (Inscription: Rifle) Expert, and the Overseas Service Bar, 3.

Brent loved his family, friends, his Trinidadian culture, making his signature "Green Skeete" drink, and motorcycles. He would do all he could to help a friend.
