Funeral services for Ms. Sandra Ismelda Williams, 72, of Killeen, TX will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Pershing Park Baptist Church in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the church.

Sandra I. Williams, a resident of Killeen, Texas, departed this earthly realm on January 26, 2024. Born under the tropical sun of Colon, Panama, on August 14, 1951, Sandra's journey through her seventy-two years was one of grace, compassion, and unwavering love.

The Williams family mourns the loss of a matriarch, a nurturing mother and grandmother, a sister among many, and an aunt dearly beloved. Sandra's legacy endures in the hearts of her children and will be cherished by her son Edgar Williams Jr.; daughters Silky Williams-Spencer and Stacy Williams; her niece Shanna Richardson; and by her treasured grandchildren - Devyne Williams, Devaun Williams, Desaun Williams, Serena Williams-Spencer, Arya Richardson, and Noah Williams. With 12 siblings, Sandra stood as a central figure amongst numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, a testament to her expansive and warm-hearted nature. Sandra's absence will be profoundly felt within the extensive family circle.

Dedicated to the healing arts, Sandra served her community as a Specialty Nurse for over thirty years. Her commitment to the profession was further reflected through the pursuit and achievement of a Doctorate of Education in Nursing from Walden University. Her care and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Sandra's passions extended beyond her professional life. A globetrotter at heart, she also savored the love shared through the meals she cooked. Her reverence for nursing and business was paralleled by her involvement in eminent associations, including the American Nurses Association, American Business Woman's Association, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, and she polished her orating prowess with Toastmasters International.

Sandra lived her faith as an active member of the Christian House of Prayer, where she joined in fellowship and worship.

The Williams family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have shown support during this time. Sandra's kindness and spirit will be remembered by the many hearts she warmed throughout her blessed life. Her unfading influence as a healthcare professional, educator, mother, grandmother, and friend will endure in perpetuity.
