Mrs. Albert passed away October 31, 2021 in Killeen, TX.
Sandra LeJoyce Hilliard was born on October 20, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, to Ralph A. Hilliard and Allie L. Hilliard. She was the first born of three children. Sandra was raised in the church knowing the Word of God and professed her faith in Jesus Christ early in life.
Sandra graduated in 1960 from Madison High School in Dallas, TX.
She was full of life and not one to sit still long. Experiencing life to the fullest was how she lived her life. Sandra acquired a whole host of lifetime friendships from all her travels around the world. She kept in touch faithfully with childhood friends that she grew up with throughout her life. Taking time to make a simple phone call or sending a card for their birthdays and other special occasions. Her voice and laughter were infectious.
Sandra was the #1 Cowboy fan whether they were losing or winning. "How 'bout them Cowboys" was her favorite phrase. She loved football and never missed a game. While watching the game, she would yell out "Run, boy, run!". As if she were right there on the sidelines coaching.
For the last 24 years of her life, she lived with her daughter's family and travelled with them while her son-in-law served in the United States Army. Her most favorite time was the five years spent in Germany.
Sandra loved deeply, laughed often and lived everyday as if it were her last day. She took nothing for granted. Her legacy of love has left footprints to all who were fortunate enough to have spent time with her.
Left to cherish her memory: her sons Mark E. Hilliard (Donna) of Dallas, TX; daughter, Michelle D. Ousley (Richard) of Killeen, TX, brother, Theodore W. Hilliard of Dallas, TX; eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Albert; parents, Ralph A. Hilliard and Allie L. Hilliard; and brother, Stanley Hilliard; and son, Marvin Bell Jr.
