Memorial service for Mrs. Sabrina Hopkins, 50 of Harker Heights, TX, will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, 3:00 p.m. at 11665 James River Drive Hopewell, Virginia 23860.

Obituary of Faithful and Committed Servant
A Time to Be Born:
Sabrina Hopkins was on December 15th, 1973, in Richmond, VA to Catherine Morton and Richard Winston.

A Time to Learn:

Sabrina was educated in the Richmond Public School System, where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School.

A Time to Love:

Shortly after graduating high school, she met Curtis Hopkins, a Soldier in the U.S. Army. Sabrina and Curtis married on April 17th, 1995. After 30 years of traveling and service, Curtis retired in April of 2021 and the family made a home in Harker Heights, Texas. While there, they joined Christian House of Prayer.  Sabrina was employed with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) until she passed away. She had numerous friends, both in and out of the workplace. Amongst those were three devoted, Marilyn Pagan, Tracy Williams, and Tiffany Williams.

A Time to Mourn:

On the morning of September 16th, 2024, God looked down from Heaven and picked from His garden our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.

Preceded in Death:

Grandmothers, Lucille Murphy and Margaret Winston; Father, Richard Winston; Mother-in-Law, Sally M. Hopkins; Father-in-Law, Walter Jackson.

Those Left to Reminisce on Fond Memories:

A loving and devoted husband, Curtis Hopkins; daughter, TyBrea Hopkins; sons, Kevin Morton and Micaiah Hopkins; grandchildren. Bentley and Kayden; mother, Catherine Peebles; sisters, Tyonna, Quimeka, and Shante Morton; brother, Richard Payne; A host of nieces and nephews; aunts, Pauline Burnes, Mary Johnson, Lutricia Lockley, Brenda Best, Ernestine Simpson, and Carolyn Morton; uncles Ernest Simpson and James Baylor; a host of cousins. Amongst them: Lolita Terry, Twana Johnson, and Temeika Ross. Sabrina has an outgoing and loving spirit, so of course she leaves tons of friends as well.
