Funeral service for Mrs. Ronalda Renee McPherson, 69 of Killeen, TX will be held Monday, March 17, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at First Church of God in Christ in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Ronalda Renee McPherson (Lofton) was born June 28, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York to Veronica Burnett (maternal mother. She was adopted by Redell and Lucy Lofton.  She passed away February 23, 2025, in Live Oak, TX.

She articulated through the Brooklyn school system and graduated from Sarah J. Hale Highschool in 1974. She was raised in the church and accepted the Lord as a teenager. She attended Greater Zion Shiloh Baptist Church while living in Brooklyn New York. She was a faithful member and loved singing in the choir. She later moved to Oklahoma and worked as a custodian and a school cafeteria worker. She continued to remain faithful to the Lord and ensured that her daughters were also raised in the church.

In 1997, she moved to Killeen, TX to be with her daughter, Lucy. It is there that she met and married her husband, David McPherson in 1998. She joined First Church of God in Christ in 2010. Unfortunately, she had some health issues but would attend when she was able.

Her hobbies were quilting, shopping, painting (she loved art), crocheting, sewing and eating. She was a member of the First Church sewing circle for a short time. She also enjoyed baking sweet potato pies and succotash.

She is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, David McPherson, TX; daughters, Raneisha Clark, WA; Lucy Shields, TX, and Lanette Jones, NY, sister, Tasha Jackson, CO; brother, Ronald Anderson; grandchildren, Shakim Leckie, Ayana Lester, Tyrone Collier, Charlyann Collier, Brandon Fernandez and a host of nieces and nephews.
