Ronald Duane Christian

October 6, 1955 - June 22, 2024

Ronald Duane Christian "Ronnie" was born October 6th, 1955, to Theresa Christian (Westly) and Rollins F. Christian Sr. in Mannheim, Germany.

A child of a United States Army Sargent Major Rollins F. Christian & Theresa Christian, Ronnie spent his early years seeing the world taking residence in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Junction City, Kansas, Anchorage, Alaska, and his parents' home Columbus, Ohio; finally settling in Portland Oregon. Portland became where the Christian family set down roots and Ronnie soon would as well.

In the early 70s Ronnie met Burma Thomas whom he married and welcomed their first daughter Laini Kay Christian. A few years later came Mandisa Christian and lastly Damala Dara Christian. Ronnie was head over heels about his children. Ronnie later welcoming his one and only son Ronnie Christian Jr., from another relationship. Although he only had four children he was lovingly referred to as daddy by many of his nieces and, nephews.

In his teen years, Ronnie was a young man of many talents taking 1st in state in Karate. Later in his adult life Ronnie started what was one of the first satellite companies in Portland, Oregon. Also, like many of the men in the Christian family his father Rollins and Uncle George specifically, he fell into the world of electrical work. His father and uncle opened what was known as Far West Electric, where Ronnie soaked up all he could about the trade. Ronnie was a very smart man using his talents in a multitude of ways; at one point owning an entire city block in NE Portland.

Later in life Ronnie met his soulmate Luenell Campbell in Southern California.

Their meeting, love and relationship was one for the books. They married on August 21st, 2001, and through trials and tribulations, they both learned what those martial vows truly meant. Through good and bad, sickness and health and heartbreaking death do they part, but the love remains. The couple loved each other deeply and their love was one of those loves you can only pray you get to experience once in your lifetime. Spending time traveling around the country with his wife as she sold out comedy shows.  Ronnie loved Luenell with all he had and wanted everyone to know that she was his wife. He was so proud of her and the love they shared.

Ronnie was a loving daddy, son, brother & husband until the end. He spent his last days in the loving care of his daughters, son-in love, wife, grandchildren, and great grandchildren until his passing June 22, 2024.

He leaves to celebrate his life and home going his wife, Luenell Campbell his brother Charles Christian his four children, Laini Christian- Champaign, (Taiwan Champaign), Mandisa Christian, Ronnie Christian Jr., and Damala Christian; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Rollins F. Christian (2006), mother, Theresa Christian (2016), brother, Rollins F. Christian Jr. (2018), and grandson Parnell Badon Jr., (2022).
