Funeral service for Mr. Roger Trevino, 70 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, October 8, 2021, 12:00 p.m. at Christian House of Prayer in Copperas Cove, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 7, 2021 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

Roger Treviño loved serving the Lord and spending time with family and friends. A man of few words with a compassionate heart, Roger's generosity knew no bounds. With a humorous nature and inspiring integrity, he embraced people from all walks of life, often welcoming them into his home to share a meal, engage in meaningful conversation, and celebrate life's important moments.

Roger was called home by his Lord and Savior on September 29, 2021. He was 70.

Born on September 19, 1951, in San Antonio, TX., Roger was a beloved and devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. At age 14, he met the love of his life, Maria. They married on July 25, 1971, spending 50 years as husband and wife. Together, they had three children and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, who he loved dearly and considered his heart.

Roger enlisted into the U.S Army in 1974. A decorated Gulf War veteran, he served in countries such as Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bosnia. In 1994, he retired from the Army after 20 years of exemplary service.

After his military service, Roger continued his professional career as a dependable, motivational leader who modeled a character of excellence. An encouraging mentor, he held several leadership roles such as Senior Instructor/Trainer with General Dynamics, and Lead Operations Technician with Dyncorp Electronics.

A man of deep faith, he was a dedicated member of the Christian House of Prayer, his church and spiritual home since 2002. He served as a staff member and Deacon, and in the Ushers and Pulpit ministries. In 2009, he was a graduate of the Sonship School of the Firstborn, a program focused on the discipline of ministry studies. His devotion to community led him to work at the Perfect Praise Learning Center, a faith-based daycare and school. For years of commitment to the children, who affectionately called him Mr. T, the learning center dedicated their library in his honor.

He also had a passion for travel. With his wife by his side, they traveled the world together with friends and family. With a thirst to experience other cultures, they visited numerous countries such as Italy, France, Switzerland, Jamaica, and Spain.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Andrea Treviño; siblings Reinaldo Treviño, Jose Treviño, Ramon Treviño, Virginia Treviño, Valentina T. Valdez, Roman Treviño, Rogelio Treviño, Mary Helen Treviño; and grandson:  Roger Treviño III. He is survived by his loving wife Maria J. Treviño; his children Monica Davis (husband Charles), Roger Treviño II (wife Kristine), Christian Treviño (wife Sarina); grandchildren Mariah, Feliziana, Marquis, Donovan, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Yessenia, Avah, Aracelia, Isabella; greatgrandchildren Nathan and Noah; and siblings Amada T. Valdez, Josefa Ledesma, Robert Treviño, Virginia Treviño, Ramon Treviño.
