Funeral service for Mr. Ricky Varnado, 67 of Atlanta, GA will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Mr. Varnado passed away July 5, 2026, in Atlanta, GA. He was born March 20, 1959, in Panama.

Ricky was a true free spirit who lived his life out loud. He never hesitated to speak his mind, and his infectious smile, made him the life of the party. Those who knew Ricky were pleasantly surprised when he embraced fatherhood. The birth of his beloved daughter, Rocksand Kelis Anderson, revealed a loving, devoted, and caring side of him that touched everyone who witnessed it. She was truly the pride and joy of his life, and the love he had for her was unmistakable.

Ricky dedicated more than 25 years of service as a Cable Technician with AT&T, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. He also attended Henry Street Church of God, where he nurtured his faith.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Ricky loved football and played throughout his middle school and high school years. His passion for sports remained with him throughout his life.

Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Veronica Varnado.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Rocksand Kelis Anderson; his father, Tharo Varnado; his bonus mother, Mackie Varnado; his siblings, Sharon Cassell (Lisa), Michael Varnado, Clarice Richardson, Greg Weaver, Tihalia Brown, Leatrice Williams, and Yana Williams; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
