Funeral service for Mr. Richard Lee Gordon Jr. 60 of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

Mr. Gordon passed away May 14, 2024, in Harker Heights, TX. He was born September 28, 1963, in Memphis, TN.

Richard Lee Gordon Jr. was born to the late Richard L. Gordon and Ethel Mae Gordon on September 28, 1963. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

He received Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Palmer. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Memphis, TN. Richard pursued several professional occupations during his lifetime. He was an over-the-road truck driver and a certified automotive technician.

Family was everything to Richard, he was not just a father, but a giving man to his entire community. Richard had a passion for preparing meals on the grill and using his dad's closely guarded recipes.

Richard leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Sherly Stemley Gordon of Killeen, TX; daughter, Nicole Gordon Lewis (Calantez) of Killeen, TX; son, Darren Gordon of Memphis, TN; sister, Beverly L. Williams (James) of Killeen, TX; brother, Lawrence E. Gordon (Teneka) of Olive Branch, MS. Richard is preceded by: six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, one uncle, five aunties, four nephews, two nieces, and a host of cousins, great nephews and nieces.
