Memorial service for Retired SFC Thomas Richard Weaver II 50 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, March 8, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service (1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

Mr. Weaver passed away February 1, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas.

Thomas Richard Weaver II was a man dedicated to truth and many convictions. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and though he was only there for a few short months, this place may have laid the foundation for the strict discipline he tried to master himself with.

Tom had a calling to join the Armed Forces and when he was 18, he began his service in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He then made the move to become a soldier in the United States Army until his retirement twenty-two years later. He also held several other jobs throughout his life, all related to his varied interests.

Thomas earned his associate degree in mathematics but most of his learning was self-directed. He would soak up knowledge on myriad topics and freely share what he knew. This served to benefit his soldiers, coworkers, friends, and family who he cared for deeply, though often quietly.

Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Thomas R. Weaver. He is survived by his mother, Barbra McBride, Stepfather, Larry McBride, sister, Loretta Bruning, brother, Kenneth McBride, four nephews, one niece, a half-sister, Sally Weaver, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He has left all of us too soon.
