Funeral Services for Retired SFC Stanley Todd Callaway 59, of Copperas Cove, TX will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, 8:00 a.m. at  Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023, (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

Mr. Callaway passed away July 8, 2023, in Copperas Cove, TX.

Stanley Todd Callaway was born May 18, 1964, to Betty I. Young and Kenneth C. Callaway in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Llano High School in Llano, TX in 1982. He married the former Billie Jo Luna on December 6, 1985, in Snyder, TX.

Stanley worked for the City of Snyder Water Department, and he also worked at the West Lake Hardware Store in San Angelo, TX before joining the United States Army in 1991. He served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Kuwait, Afghanistan and did two tours in Korea.  He received an honorable discharge on October 26, 2013. His medals and awards include: The Iraq Campaign Medal w/Two Campaign Stars, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (8th Award), Army Achievement Medal (8th Award), Valorous Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (2nd Award), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3rd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4th Award), Driver and Mechanic Badge- Mechanic, and the Expert Marksmanship Badge w/Rifle Bar.

Left to cherish his memories: his wife, Billie "BJ" Callaway of Copperas Cove, TX; Falen M. Chappell (Thomas Chappell Jr.) of Copperas Cove, TX, Brittney S. Pady (Elton R. Pady) of San Antonio, TX; son, Todd Logan Callaway of Copperas Cove, TX; grandchildren, Paisley R. Pady, Thomas Chappell III, Lennon M. Pady, Liam A. Callaway, Kai I. Chappell and Luke D. Callaway; mother, Betty I. Fortune of Graham, TX; brother, Gregg S. Callaway (Debbie Callaway) of Gillette, WY; sister, Cynthia R. Krause (Greg Krause) of Grandburry, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth C. Callaway.
