Funeral services for Retired SFC Raymond Fredrick Williams 64, of Killeen will be Tuesday, November 8, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Chapel AME Church/Douse Community Center in Killeen. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas
Visitation will be on Monday, November 7, 2022, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas.
Mr. Williams passed away October 28, 2022, in Killeen, Texas.
Raymond Frederick Williams was born to Anna B. Bryant on January 8, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, He grew up in Macon, Georgia, graduating from Northeast Highschool where he played basketball. He was married to Annette Williams.
SFC Retired Raymond Williams served his country honorably while enlisted in the United States Army as a Healthcare Specialist. He was stationed at multiple military bases world-wide. He deployed to 3 war-zones which included Iraq, Operation Desert Storm, and Southwest Asia, and earned many awards and decorations throughout his over 24 year career. Following his retirement from the military Raymond worked at Darnall Army Community Hospital, Walmart and for 16 Years as an instructor at Central Texas College's Troop School.
Raymond loved The Lord and was a dedicated member of Anderson Chapel A.M.E. Church in Killeen, Texas. He proudly served as a Steward, Usher, Church School Superintendent, as part of the Deployed Soldiers and Benevolence Ministries and in various other capacities as needed.
Raymond Williams loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed barbequing, going to flea markets, and watching TV. He loved Sci-Fi, Westerns and sports with his favorite teams being the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs.
Raymond leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Annette; children Neil W. (Sarah) Springer, Olympia, WA, LoToya C. Springer, James M. Springer, and Jasmine Hunt, Killeen, TX, Destiny Hunt, Sementhia (Joris) Williams-Cherry, and Shenta Williams, Macon, GA; grandchildren, Saniyah Howard, Joris Cherry, Jr., Jaliyah Cherry, D'Avion Lowe, Devin Lowe, and Kennedy Williams, Macon, GA and Zariah H. Springer Spencer, Killeen, TX; great-granddaughter Amiyah Richardson; sister Linda (James) Robinson, Macon, GA, Vanetta Hunt, Atlanta, GA; nephews Anthony Rouse, Fort Valley, GA, Neil Robertson, NC; niece Taura Middlebrooks, Macon, GA; Brothers-in-law Nathaniel and Markus Guinyard, Columbus, SC, Troy Williams, Atlanta, GA; sisters-in-law Valerie and Tina Hendrix, Columbus, SC; close family friends Ernest and Tina Hamilton, Copperas Cove, TX; Godfather Johnny "Pops" Owens, Killeen, TX; Godsister/brother Brenda and Pastor Colin Barrett, Williston, SC; God-niece Sharron Williams, Williston, SC and other extended family and friends.
