Funeral service for (Retired SFC) Pastor Bruce Edward Bingham Sr., 60 of Killeen, TX will be held Monday, October 9, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Temple of Faith in Killeen, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (11:00 a.m. - 1:00p.m.) at the church.

Pastor Bruce Edward Bingham, Sr. was born January 18, 1963, to the late Percy and Elouise Bingham Sr. He departed this earth on September 26, 2023, at his home surrounded by family after a short time of being on hospice with New Century Hospice. Bruce attended public school of Franklin Parish in Louisiana and graduated from Wisner High School in 1981. Bruce received the Lord Jesus as his savior during his early years, as an adult and during his military time he became a member of the United Pentecostal Church International. While in the military (U.S. Army) Bruce was the founder of Cornerstone Apostolic Church (Leavenworth, Kansas). His other ministries include Liberation Christian Ministry #1(Universal City, TX), LCM #2 (Winser, Louisiana), LCM #3 (Killeen, TX). LCM #4 (Clayton, Louisiana).

Pastor Bruce E. Bingham Sr. entered the U.S. Army, September 30, 1983, and served for 22 years as a Sergeant First Class, then retired in Fort Sill, Oklahoma on September 30, 2005. He also served during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and Iraq/Afghanistan Campaigns. He served two overseas assignments one in Germany and one in South Korea, he received numerous awards and ribbons. He also served two Missionary trips to Monrovia, Liberia in Africa one in 2020 and the second one in 2021 with 14 preachers under his leadership.

Bruce met Cassandra D. Jackson who was also serving in the U.S. Army, they later on June 28, 2006, were united in holy matrimony in San Antonio, TX. Afterward they moved to Killeen, TX where they were happily married for 17 years.

Bruce leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Cassandra D. Bingham; son, Bruce E. Bingham Jr.; daughters, Lekiskia Bingham of Garland, TX and Jasmine Bingham of West Monroe, LA.; (Stepdaughters) Lawanda (Jason) Fish of Temple, TX and Laniesha Jackson of Killeen, TX; two brothers, J.C. Bingham of Wisner, LA, and Roy (Glenda) Bingham of Harvey, LA; three sisters; Edna Hightower of San Antonio, TX, Cathy (Roger) Keeton of Jonesville, LA, and Lora (Tony) Goree of Santa Clarita, CA; one aunt, Ida M. Stewart of Los Angeles, LA. He was proceeded in death by his parents and three brothers Percy Bingham Jr., Connell Bingham and Michael Bingham. He also leaves to cherish his memories: four sister-in laws, Geraldine Pettigrew of Charlotte, NC, Toosie (Charles) Belcher, Vanessa (Roger) Carroll both of Abbeville, SC and Janie Ruth Lyons of Anderson, SC; and one brother-in-law, Melvin (Caroline) Jackson of Greenville, SC. Bruce will truly be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, one grandchild and 8 step-grandchildren along with many other family and friends.
