Funeral service for Retired CSM Otha Lee "Jim" Birdwell, 75 of Killeen, TX will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Jim passed away in Killeen, TX on June 1, 2022, to be with our Lord and Savior.

Jim was born in Graham, TX to the late JW and Anna Birdwell on June 21, 1946. His passions were family, camping, fishing, and tinkering with wood. He retired as a Command Sergeant Major from the U.S. Army with many honorable and distinguish service awards such as the Bronze Star with "V" medal.

Jim was preceded in death by JW and Anna Birdwell, sister Nora Ann Birdwell.

Survivors: Wife Son Hui of 39 years. Daughter Kris Birdwell Woodson, Son Jimmy Lee Birdwell, Sister Julie Funk husband Mark, Brother William Birdwell wife Teresa. 3 grandchildren, and many great nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear close friends.
