It is with profound sadness that we are here today to say goodbye to our beloved fallen hero, Retired SFC Orvin Odell Lee, 64 of Killeen, TX.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.
Retired Sargent First Class Orvin Odell Lee was born July 6, 1961, in Chicago, IL to Steven Lee, II and Jean Lee. He was the 5th of 8 children. Orvin attended Bowen High School, where he made many friends. After graduation he joined the military and was stationed at Fort Hood in TX. and then transferred overseas to Germany for a few years. He finally got sent back to Texas where he made Killeen his home.
Retired Sargent First Class Lee proudly served in the U.S. Army for over 30 years. He was a decorated soldier, a combat veteran who served in conflict deployments and earned several medals. His dedication to duty and to his fellow officers were admired by all who served alongside him.
In 1981 Orvin met the love of his life, a beautiful young woman who he married a year later. Their union has lasted for over 40 years and has produced 5 children.
After retiring from the U.S. Army, Sargent Lee served as a Military Contractor for DynCorp. That deployment sent him back overseas to Iraq and Afghanistan where he provided flight operations support for the American military on site. Upon completion of his contract, Sargent Lee became an entrepreneur and business owner where he hand-made and sold holiday home decorative items.
Retired Sargent First Class Orvin Odell Lee passed away on February 3, 2026, following a long fight with Cancer.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Yvette Lee; daughter, Yvette Cheri Lee; 3 sons, Michael Hudson, Keith Lee and Orvin Lee, II; 5 brothers, Steven Lee,III, Kerry Lee, Jon Lee, Ivan Lee and Kevin Lee and 7 grandchildren, Nicholas Macias, Jayvion Lee, Atiyana Lee, Ailiyah Lee, Donald Chapman, Olivia Usie Hudson and Aiyanna Chapman.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Kevin Odell Lee, brother Shawn Lee and sister Ramona Newton. Orvin leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
