Obituary

A celebration of life for Retired MSG Curtis Holman 80, of Copperas Cove, TX will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, 11:00 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove, TX. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.) at the church.

Retired MSG Curtis Holman, 80, of Copperas Cove, Texas, passed away on July 24, 2026. He was born on November 30, 1945, in Duck Hill, Mississippi.

Curtis was a career military serviceman, serving for 23 years. He was also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars where he remained active for many years. His dedication to his military service and to fellow veterans was an important part of his life.

Outside of his military career, Curtis loved gardening,

visiting farmers markets and spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed growing and selling his garden vegetables at farmers markets and sharing his gardening knowledge. Through those markets, he developed many relationships with customers who became dear friends over the years.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Heidemarie Holman of Copperas Cove, Texas; sons Steven Holman of Wentzville, Missouri, and Curtis Holman Jr. of Lawton, Oklahoma; daughters Valeria Williams and Meshalle McHenry of Lawton, Oklahoma; and son Steven Weber of Pfaffenhausen, Germany. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. His surviving siblings include Irma, Burnell, William H., Carlene, Bessie, Louella, Inez, and Shirley. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth, and by his siblings Louis, John, Woodrow, Mary Ann, and Karen Ann.

Curtis will be remembered for his service to his country, his love of family and friends, and the many friendships he formed throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of service, generosity, and genuine care for those around him.
