Funeral service with full military honors for Retired SSG Marshall Magee, 89 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, April 29, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.
Burial will be held Monday, May 2, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Mr. Magee Passed away April 23, 2022, in Killeen TX.
Marshall Magee was born to Marshall Magee, Sr., and Olivia Sheridan Magee on February 25, 1933, in Kentwood, LA.
Marshall received his education through the Tangipahoa Parish public school system. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. Marshall was united in holy matrimony to Minnie Lee Cook and to this union five children were born. Marshall then married Willa Banks on July 26, 1971, to this union Marshall welcomed two more children, Terrance, and William.
Marshall enlisted in the United States Army and served his country proudly for over 20 years. He received an honorable discharge, his award and medals include: The National Defense Service Medal w/Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal Clasp Silver, Expert (Rifle), and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea). After his military career he was employed with Pure Milk.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Olivia Magee; three brothers, Randolph Magee, Raymond Coleman, and Robert Coleman, Jr., and son-in-law, Roy Hill.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Willa Magee; seven children, Linda Warner (Frank), Calvin Magee (Phillis), Charmaine Magee-Hill, Lecia Coleman (Remingo), Katrinka Magee-Chester (Eddie), Terrance Magee (Jill), William Magee (Loleeta), cousin, Rena Mae Cobb; grandchildren; great grandchildren; special friend, Alfred (Bo) Kennedy; one niece, one nephew, other family members and friends.
