Mass service for Retired SFC Lealofi Tuilape Faiai, 53 of Heath, TX will be held Friday, October 22, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation with Rosary will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.

Mr. Faiai passed away October 2, 2021 in Rockwall, TX.

(Ret.) SFC Lealofi Tuilape Faiai was born on June 29, 1968, in American Samoa to parents Sulufale'ese Toilolo and Silivaiva Tuilape Faiai. He enlisted in the United States Army on July 20, 1988, in Honolulu, HI and retired on July 31, 2008, in Fort Hood, TX. His awards and achievements
include: The Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award), Army Superior Unit AWD, Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2nd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (5th Award), Combat Action Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge – Mechanic, Basic Marksmanship Qualification Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge Silver.

Throughout his career in the Army, he pursued higher education and received: His Associate of Arts from Chaminade University of Honolulu on 03/22/2000, Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas on 04/06/2002, and
Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Grantham University on 09/15/2011.

Mr. Lofi continued his service to his country for 13 years as a Logistics Management Specialist for the Department of the Army. His work took him to several different locations as he was part of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command: 401st Army Field Support Battalion-Afghanistan (Deputy to the Commander) Bagram, Afghanistan, 401st Army Field Support Battalion-Qatar Camp as Sailyah, Qatar & Doha, Qatar, 402nd Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) Fort Shafter, HI, 406th Army Field Support Brigade AFSB)-Campbell Fort Campbell, KY, and 407th Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) Fort Hood, TX.

During his time in the civil service, he received many commander's coins (given by the commander at their discretion for phenomenal work and
going above and beyond the call of duty). Mr. Lofi also received many awards to include: The Superior Civilian Service Award, Commanders
Award for Civilian Service, and the Civilian Service Commendation Medal x2. In total, he proudly served 33 years in the U.S. Army both as a Soldier and Army civilian.

He will be missed and cherished by his wife of 33 years Pelenatete Faiai and their three sons Robert Faiai, Rueben Faiai, and Ryan Faiai.
