Graveside service for Retired Sergeant First Class Janie Doria Adell Mosbey will be held Wednesday March 4, 2026, 2: 00 p.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Janie passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, in Harker Heights. She was born on January 5, 1954, in Tucson, Arizona, to Timothy and Ruth (Ates) Beasley.
Janie proudly served her country in the United States Army from 1974 until her retirement in 1995. Over the course of her distinguished military career, she earned numerous decorations in recognition of her dedication, leadership, and honorable service. Among them were the Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 3, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Medal. She achieved the respected rank of Sergeant First Class, reflecting her commitment, strength, and unwavering work ethic.
Beyond her military service, Janie was known for her resilience, loyalty, and the deep love she held for her family and friends. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Angela Mosbey of Harker Heights, along with many cherished friends and extended family members who will continue to honor her memory.
Janie's life was marked by service, courage, and devotion — to her country and to those she loved. She will be remembered with gratitude, pride, and enduring affection.
