Graveside service with military honors for Retired SGM James Harold Davidson, 78 of Nolanville, TX will be held Friday, February 26, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

James Harold Davidson was born, July 14, 1942, in Del Valle, Texas to the late Charlie and Hazel Davidson. He grew up in Del Valle Texas. He attended Lamar Elementary School and graduated from Anderson High School.

James joined the United States Army and served his country proudly for over 28 years, receiving an honorable discharge on October 31, 1987. His medals, awards and ribbons include: Army Commendation Medal (w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Good Conduct Medal (Silver, 3 loops), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea) Vietnam Service Medal (w/1 Bronze Service Star), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (Numeral 4), Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation Badge (w/Palm), Expert Badge (Rifle), and the Meritorious Service Medal.

He was united in holy matrimony to Kathryne Ann Davidson who preceded him in death. He departed his life on Tuesday February 9, 2021 in Nolanville Texas.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kathy Smith (Cory) of Nolanville, TX, Bridgette Davidson of Killeen TX, Sherika Davidson (Roger) of Killeen, TX, and Teresa Marvin of Belton, TX; son, James Davidson, Jr. of Killeen, TX; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Faye Simmons (Jerome) of Austin, TX, and Mae Lois Davidson (Mary) of Del Valle, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his four brothers Allen, Alvin (Joe), Lee Aurtha, Mallie, and three sisters Rose, Helen May and Annie Ophelia Chadwick.
