Funeral service for Retired SFC Hubert Lee Rhodes, 71 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Mr. Rhodes passed away January 30, 2026, in Harker Heights, TX. He was born January 12, 1955, in Greenwood, MS.

Hubert "June" Rhodes was born and raised on the Racetrack, a place that shaped his strong spirit and steady character.

He proudly served 20 years in the United States Army, dedicating himself to his country with honor and commitment. Blessed to witness and help raise three generations, June found his greatest joy in life's simple moments. He was a true sports man and loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Left to cherish his memory: wife, Cynthia Rhodes, children, Melissa, Tyrone, and Shantel; grandchildren, Kennan, Deja, DeeAundre, Jada, and Saperior; great grandchildren, Autumn, Hazel, Kayden, Cyncere, Laneigh, and Violet; siblings, Lee, Big Red and Pewee.

His kind spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering generosity touched all who knew him, he will be deeply missed by all.
