Funeral services for Retired 1SG Henry Lee Mosley, 76 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, February 11, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. prior to the service.

**Masks will be required to attend services**

Mr. Mosley passed away January 23, 2022, in Killeen, TX.

Henry Lee Mosley was born January 31, 1945, to parents Ester Hollins and James E. Mosley, Sr. in Lufkin, TX. He graduated from Dunbar High School in 1964 in Lufkin, TX, and then attended and graduated from Texas Southern University in 1969.

Henry was drafted into the United States Army where he served his country proudly for over 21 years. He retired from the Army with an honorable discharge in 1990. During his service, Henry was distinguished with awards and commendations including: The Army Commendation Medal W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon Numeral 4 and the Expert Badge Rifle and Pistol.

After Henry retired from the army, he continued his commitment to service working for the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System in Temple, TX for 15 years, retiring in 2005. He then became the Supervisor of the Recreation Department of the VA in Temple, TX, working for them as long as he was physically able to do so.

Henry was part of the Central Texas Golf Association, he was a former volunteer Fireman in Kempner, TX, and he was also the former Racquetball Champion at Fort Hood, TX.  Henry was also part of the Brotherhood of Comanche Chapel at Fort Hood, TX.

Left to cherish his memory: his wife, Linda F. Mosley of Killeen, TX; sons, Harold L. Mosley (Rhonda Jones) of Arlington, TX, and Henry L. Mosley (Dominique) of Houston, TX; granddaughters, Vivian A. Mosley of Houston, TX, and Jessica M. Mosley of Houston, TX; grandson, Frasier Jones of Seattle, WA; sisters, Jessie Mosley of Houston, TX, Leal Lindsey of Missouri City, TX, and Portial Mosley of Columbus, OH; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ester and James E. Mosley, Sr.; brothers, Robert James, Sr., Clifford T. Mosley, and Lester B. Mosley; sisters, Ruby Grant, Lue Ester Paye, Mary Salone, Georgia Mosley, and Harriet Hilliard.
