Funeral service for Retired SFC Henrietta "Pepper" Brown, 64 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, 9:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Ms. Brown passed away December 14, 2024, in Dallas, TX. She was born November 15, 1960, in Bishopville, SC.

Born to Juanita and Henry Stuckey on November 15, 1960, in Lee County, Henrietta "Pepper" Brown was a beacon of strength and dedication. Ms. Brown passed away December 14, 2024, in Dallas, TX.

A proud graduate of Ashwood Central High School in 1978, with a deep sense of duty and a desire to serve, she followed her calling to serve her country and joined the United States Army. Spending twenty-four distinguished years protecting the nation, her service, marked by numerous awards, epitomized her commitment and bravery.

Life after her Army tenure was just as fulfilling when she continued her service as a government contractor for Honeywell, where she thrived as a Project Manager for ten years. Once she fully embraced retirement, she embarked on living her best life, exploring the world, and cherishing precious moments with her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Juanita Brown and Henry Stuckey, her brothers Carnell, Leroy, and Leon Brown, and her two sisters Joanne and Roberta Stuckey, Henrietta's loving legacy lives on through her family and friends.

Henrietta is lovingly remembered by her husband, Harvey Manns. She leaves behind sisters Annie Hollmon of Philadelphia, PA; Annie Butler of Bishopville, SC; Dorothy Hill of San Antonio, TX; and Linda Stuckey of Darlington, SC. Her brothers, Micheal Stuckey, George Stuckey, and Henry Stuckey, all reside in Baltimore, MD.

Her loving legacy extends to her sisters Bridgette (Greg) Jackson, Natalie Brown, and Deanna (James) Brown, all of whom reside in San Antonio, TX. She also treasured her two special nieces, Crystal and Kaleena (Ebony) Brown, of Killeen, TX, along with her special great-nephew, Donavin Williams Jr.

Henrietta's memory will be cherished by her two beloved goddaughters, Nina Sweeney and Amiya Welch, and her five special godsons: Bobby Stuckey Jr., Dominique Spry, Ronald Guarly Jr., Roy, and Tyrone Brooks. She held a special bond with her G-baby, James Bradley, and leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who will forever honor her memory and the love she shared with them.
