Visitation with service for Retired SFC Elwin Ortiz Camacho, 67 of San Antonio, TX will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 6:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Rosary will start at 6:30 p.m. with service to follow with comments until 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial with military honors will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Mr. Ortiz Camacho passed away January 11, 2021 in San Antonio, TX. He was born August 2, 1953 in Bayamon, PR.

Elwin Ortiz Camacho passed away with his family by his side on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the age of 67 years. Elwin was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. All those who encountered Elwin, knew he was a proud Boricua.

Elwin entered the U.S. Military on September 24, 1972. He specialized in computer technical support and welding. His first love when coming to the United States was the Dallas Cowboys. He loved and admired the Blue Star and shared a mutual devotion to the team every Sunday with his family by his side.

Elwin married Rebeca (Tosky) on November 8, 1980 in El Paso, Texas. They soon welcomed their first born Son Jonathan Ortiz and their daughter Linda Fair.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 41 years, Rebeca Ortiz of Killeen, TX; son, Jonathan Ortiz; daughter, Linda Fair; along with his seven grandchildren, Gabriel, Ziq, DJ, Kain, Sophie, Jolie, and Auvie.

Elwin is preceded in death by his mother Flor M. Ortiz Camacho and his father Antonio Ortiz.

He will always be remembered as a strong, tenacious, confident and dedicated Father and Grandfather. Deep in our hearts a memory is kept, Of one we loved and shall never forget. We love you Dad!
