Funeral service for Retired SFC Donna Rena Dubreuil, 55 of Harker Heights, TX will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

Donna Rena Dubreuil, 55, passed unexpectedly. She was born on the 24 ^th of February in 1967, in Hillsboro, TX. She is the daughter of Issac Williams and Nelda Gamble.

Donna graduated from Hillsboro High school and went on to attend Grambling University where she earned a degree in Business Management. Following higher education, she went on to join the United States Army. She served for over 24 years and was honorably discharged in 2014. While serving she earned the following awards: The Iraq Campaign Medal w/Three Campaign Stars, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), Army Commendation Medal (6th award), Army Achievement Award (5th award), Meritorious Unit Commendation (2nd award), Army Good Conduct Medal (8th award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal. She also earned the Drill Sergeant Badge and Campaign Hat. She moved on to work for the United States Postal Service, simultaneously earning a degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University.

She married to Larry Dubreuil(deceased) on December 28, 1990. They remained married until his passing in October 2015.

Donna loved to travel and have a good time. She was known to host get-togethers. She was the life of the party and brightened up the room when she walked in. She was known to be an extended mother/grandmother to others. She also helped others in any way she could. She loved her family dearly. In her better days, she loved to shop and enjoyed her adventures at the post office.

Her life and memories will live on through her children, JeRyan D. Hughes Sr (Teresa) of Fort Polk, LA, DeAundra Dubreuil of Killeen, TX, Dylan Dubreuil of Houston, TX; also, through the lives of her grandchildren, Adrian D. Thompson of Temple, TX, JeRyan Jr. and Laryssa N. Hughes. She also leaves behind her brother Herbert P. Williams of Hillsboro, TX. The joy and memories she brought to so many will live on through uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
