Funeral services for Retired TSGT Calvin Ray Durham 71 of Killeen, TX will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026, 12:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.
Calvin Ray Durham was born on November 25, 1954, in Oakwood, Texas, to Mary Raab. He lived a life defined by strength, service, and a deep love for family. He passed away March 14, 2026, in Waco, TX.
Calvin proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, demonstrating honor, discipline, and commitment to his country. After his military service, he continued his strong work ethic as a driver for Steven Transport, where he dedicated 15 years of service.
In 1985, Calvin met and married the love of his life, Gladys Durham. Their union was built on loyalty, love, and unwavering support. Although they had no biological children, they lovingly raised Mondrae Thompson, giving him guidance, care, and a foundation rooted in love.
Calvin found his greatest joy in his family. He leaves behind a legacy through his 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, each of whom he cherished deeply. He also had a passion for traveling and embraced life by exploring the world and all it had to offer.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sister on his father's side, Rev. Patricia; his sisters Jenette, Liz, Patrice, and Lisa; and his brothers Danny, Tim, Ronnie, and Carl. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, along with his devoted best friend, Anthony Morale.
Calvin will be remembered for his strength, his quiet wisdom, his unwavering love, and the lasting impact he made on everyone blessed to know him.
