Bobby Johnson, son of Shirley Johnson was born on March 19, 1961, in Gastonia NC, and passed away on January 5, 2025. He proudly served in the United States Army for over 26 years, dedicating his life to his country and community. His career in the military was marked by courage, discipline, and a profound sense of duty.

Bobby Johnson had earned a number of awards throughout his career as follows: Soldier's Metal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Metal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon and Parachutist Badge.

Above all, he cherished his family. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Teresa, with whom he shared 47 fruitful years. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and faith. He was a proud father to Simone and Bobby Jr., instilling in them the values of integrity, hard work, and responsibility.

A man of deep faith, Bobby Johnson loved God and his personal walk since childhood. He also had a lifelong passion for learning. He earned a bachelor's degree and loved sharing knowledge, both as a student and a teacher. His enthusiasm for education and the outdoors was evident in everything he did. Whether walking for miles daily, fishing, or biking, he found peace and joy in the beauty of the world around him.

In the community, Bobby Johnson was an upstanding citizen, he only received one ticket in his lifetime. His legacy is one of service, concern, and dedication to his family, faith, and country.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Teresa; his children, Simone and Bobby Jr.; Phyllis Latimore (sister), Philip Johnson (brother), Patricia Sims (cousin), his granddaughters (the apple of his eye) Hallie Johnson and Paisley King who will forever carry his memory.
