Funeral service for Retired SFC Arnold C. Robinson 86 of Killeen, TX will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Charis Church in Killeen, TX. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the church.

Mr. Robinson passed away May 10, 2024, in Temple TX. He was born September 8, 1937, in Galax, VA.

Arnold Cornelius Robinson's life radiated far beyond the confines of words on a page; it was a testament to love, compassion, and unwavering dedication. As a devoted husband, father, and friend, he left a profound impression on the hearts of all who knew him. From his formative years at Scott Memorial High School to his graduation from the National School of Business in 1957, Arnold's journey was marked by a steadfast commitment to service.

After 20 years of honorable service in the Army, Arnold retired, having achieved the esteemed rank of Sergeant First Class. Throughout his military career, he earned numerous awards, including the Bronze Star Medal; Purple Heart; Army Commendation Medal; Good Conduct Medal Clasp, Bronze 4 Loops; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Service Star; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; and Combat Infantryman Badge. Even after his retirement from the Army, Arnold's dedication to service continued as he pursued endeavors in Civil Service.

However, Arnold's legacy extended beyond his professional accomplishments; it was defined by his selflessness and generosity in serving his community. At Charis Church, he devoted himself as a Greeter, Prayer Team member, and Mentor, leaving a profound impact on all he encountered. Additionally, he volunteered with Meals on Wheels for years, serving those in need with dedication and compassion.

His dedication to his loved ones knew no bounds, and his selfless sacrifices will forever be cherished in our memories. He was the encourager when doubt set in, assuring us that everything would be okay. He was the voice of reason when we faced uncertainty, guiding us through our worries with wisdom and compassion. Arnold was the rock of our family, a beacon of strength and love. We loved him dearly, and his presence will be deeply missed. Though he may have departed from this earthly realm, his spirit will forever reside in our hearts, reminding us of the extraordinary man he was and always will be in our hearts.

Arnold's integrity, honor, and boundless kindness touched the lives of countless individuals, ensuring that his memory will endure for generations. As we gather today to bid him farewell, we reflect on the profound influence of his life. Even in our grief, we find comfort in celebrating his extraordinary journey. Arnold was not merely a member of our family; he was the cornerstone upon which we built our lives.

On May 10, 2024, Arnold was called home to glory. Arnold is preceded in death by his mother, Allene Robinson, his father, Isom Robinson, son, Arnold Robinson Jr. and son-in-law, Kelly Robinson III.

Arnold is survived by his wife Alma Robinson of Killeen, TX; daughters, Jackie (Robert) Medlock of Round Rock, TX, Laurie (Roy) Richard of Elgin, TX, Annette Robinson of Lampasas, TX, Lisa Bryant of Killeen, TX, and Michelle (Charles) Barnwell of Killeen, TX; sons, Donald Robinson of Temple, TX, Gary Robinson of Waxahachie, TX, and Angelo (Thea) Bryant of Garland, TX; as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.
