Albert Malone McAlister was a loving and proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, veteran, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his kindness, historical wisdom, and generous spirit. He was born on April 17, 1956, to parents Cammie Weatherspoon and James McAlister in Mobile, Alabama, and graduated from Ganesha High School in Pomona, California.

Albert was known for his tireless work ethic, unwavering dedication, and strong moral values. Throughout his life, he exemplified integrity, compassion, and resilience. He enlisted in the United States Army on December 4, 1974, and proudly served his country for 22 years before retiring. He participated in the Gulf War and received an Honorable Discharge on December 31, 1996. His numerous awards and medals include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Army Achievement Medal (4th Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, Noncommissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Kuwait Liberation Medal (K), Kuwait Liberation Medal (SA), and Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar.

Albert had over 40 years of experience in material storage, handling, and processing. After his military career, he worked for the Killeen Independent School District as a Warehouse Lead for 21 years and retired on December 20, 2018. Additionally, he served as an Environmental Services Weekend Supervisor at Carl R. Darnall Medical Center from 1999 to 2021.

Albert's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted father who cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, offering them unconditional love, guidance, and support. His legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him. Surviving him are his wife, Pamela Lorise McAlister; daughters, Tashika Smith, Kamesha McAlister, LaShaon McAlister, and Lavonya McAlister-Washko; grandchildren, Emonei Chestnut, Emi'jah Spencer, Elianah Smith, Joe Lyons, James Thomas Jr., Ti'liah Pinson, Trevon Pinson, Zarius Reynolds, Christopher Robinson, Chandler Washko, and Cameron Washko; and sisters, Deborah Crews, Caroline Ewing, Vicky Carter, Elizabeth Duncan, and Sharon Mahoney.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Cammie Weatherspoon and James McAlister, and his brother, James McAlister Jr.

Albert's Light will continue to shine through all those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered
