Funeral service for Mr. Phillip Dewayne Lee 53, of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Killeen, TX.  Burial will follow the service at the Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.

Mr. Lee passed away November 18, 2023, in Temple, TX. He was born on May 27, 1970, in Killeen. TX.

Blessed was the day on May 27,1970, when the world welcomed Phillip DeWayne Lee, the arrival of a soul destined to imprint an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. Phillip DeWayne Lee, a man of character, kindness, and unwavering resilience, gracefully departed this world on November 18, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind a cherished legacy of love and enduring memories that will forever be held close in the hearts of those who had the privilege of sharing in his remarkable journey.

Born to the late Pamela Nicholson and the late Robert Jenkins in Killeen, Texas, Phillip Dewayne Lee affectionally known as "Mr. Wayne", navigated life's journey with strength and grace. Raised with love and care, Wayne was a cherished son of Pamela Nicholson. His childhood was enriched by the wisdom and nurturing of his grandmother, Vernice Lee, who imparted invaluable lessons and a deep sense of faith in God. In the tender years of his youth, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior while attending Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church. The influence of the church community was equally significant in Wayne's life in his formative years. As a mentee, he found guidance, support, and inspiration within the Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church family while serving on the usher board and in the bus Ministry. As Wayne matured in his faith, he found a new spiritual home at Tabernacle of Praise and Worship Center- Perfecting of the Saints Ministries. Here, Wayne continued to grow in his relationship with God, participating in various ministries and forming deep connections with fellow believers as a Deacon of the church. The warmth of this church community became a significant part of Wayne's life, providing support, fellowship, and a sanctuary for worship.

Wayne grew up in Killeen, Texas and graduated from Killeen High School in 1988. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Paul Quinn College, where he earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Business Administration and Management. While attending Paul Quinn College, he joined the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Continuing his academic pursuits, Wayne later graduated from Amberton University with a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management. It was during these years that Wayne not only cultivated his intellect but also formed lifelong friendships that would sustain him throughout his life. Wayne excelled as a Retail Merchandising Supervisor at Mondelez International. There, he skillfully blended coaching techniques and motivational skills, cultivating a strong sense of unity within his team.

Phillip DeWayne Lee married Antoinette Nicole Chilton in March 2014 and was the father of two children: Tre'Vonta Juwan Hearn-Lee and Britney Danielle Lee. Wayne had immense love, pride, and joy in his heart for his family. He cherished the unique qualities that made each of his children and took great joy in witnessing their growth and accomplishments. Their presence in his life brought him happiness and the shared moments and unspoken understanding between a father and a child were the highlights of his life. Wayne's legacy is not just in the memories shared but, in the values, he instilled, and the love that remains eternally woven into the fabric of their lives. His spirit lives on in each of them, and his love will forever be a guiding light in their lives.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Antoinette Nicole Lee of Killeen, TX; son, Tre'Vonta Juwan Hearn-Lee of Wills Point, TX, daughter, Britney D. Lee of Desto, TX; brothers: Robert Lee of Killeen, TX, and Robert Jenkins Jr. (Tiayana) of Dallas, TX; sisters: Jeanette A Gonzalez of Killeen, TX, Robin Jenkins of Baltimore, MD, and Kalique Jenkins- Savoy (Dereck) of MD Tiffany Jenkins and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Trenton Wayne Lee and Jakiah Symone Ross, his father, Robert Jenkins, his mother, Pamela Nicholson, and grandmother, Vernice Lee.
