Pearlie (Pearl) M. Hubbard, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, auntie, and friend, passed away peacefully, on March 28, 2025, at the age of 92.

Pearlie M. Blake was born on April 14, 1932, to Lawrence and Mittie Blake, in Curtis, AR. She attended Henry Bell High School, in Gurdon, AR, where she met the love of her life, Elga (pronounced Elgee) Hubbard. Following high school graduation, Elga joined the US Army. The two were married on Feb. 12, 1954. Their union produced five children. The couple moved to the Killeen/Ft. Cavazos area in 1968.

Pearl was known for her kindness, her generosity, and her infectious smile. She was poised, and classically stylish. She had a deep and abiding love for God; and served as an usher in the church for more than 35 years. Despite attending 19th St. Chapel, Comanche Chapel, and Greater Vision Community Church, Pearl maintained her membership at Pershing Park Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elga, her infant daughter, Joyce, her only son, Michael, Mr. George Salter (her long-time companion and friend), and all nine of her beloved siblings.

She leaves to mourn her death, her daughters, Jannett Hogan (Prince), Beverly Connelly, Loretta Hubbard, and bonus daughter, Maria Elizabeth Villarreal, grandchildren, Angelo Graham (La Tonya), Tiffany and Kandace Hogan, Joshua Connelly (Courtney), Brittany Laville (Loel), Cherish Taylor (Damaris), and Jaedon Hubbard, her great-grandchildren, Wisdom Harlan, Trinity and Jeremiah Hogan, Josiah Connelly, and Selah Taylor, along with a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, her precious Bonner Dr. Family, and a multitude of friends, who are as close as family.

We invite all who knew her, to join us in remembering and celebrating the well-lived life of Pearlie M. Hubbard.
