Funeral services for Mrs. Pearlene M. Windom 84, of Killeen Texas will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at United Faith Church in Copperas Cove, Texas. Burial will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, 3:00 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Power House A Ministry of Light Church, located at 814 N. Gilmer Street in Killeen, TX.

Mrs. Windom passed away November 10, 2023, in Temple, TX. She was born April 27, 1939, in Arp, Texas.

Missionary Mother Pearlene M. Windom was called from earthly labor to heavenly rest at the age of 84, on November 10, 2023, at the Baylor Scott hospital Temple Texas. She was born April 27, 1939, to Son and Mattie Mason in Arp Texas. She was educated in the school that was dear to her heart, Booker T. Washington in Plainville, Texas. Pearlene exemplified her love and pride for school by participating on the cheerleading squad.

In 1973, Pearlene met the love of her life, Lawrence R. Windom, and they were united in marriage on May 8, 1974. She set out to travel around the world beginning with Ft Riley Kansas to wherever the military would send her husband. It was there at Ft Riley Kansas that she totally surrendered her life to the Lord Jesus Christ. She also came to understand that the man that she married was of the plan of God. God had taken what the enemy meant for destruction, and he worked for good. God had purposed to allow Satan to work his devilish plan by bringing a younger man than Pearlene for their "down fall". For what the enemy placed together for evil ruins, God allowed it that HE MIGHT GET THE GLORY BY BRINGING FORTH His POWER to rescue, save and baptize them in the Holy Ghost and placed her into the kingdom of His dear Son, to declare to women and all others, that Jesus saves!!!

It was in Kansas, as a member of Bobbit Temple Church of God in Christ that God allowed words of Truth to come out her mouth to minister grace to the hearers. In 1979, Neu-Ulm Germany, Missionary Windom worked alongside her husband as God led them to start a church. As the work increased by God adding to the church, he used Missionary Windom, until God raised up leaders. She served as youth Sunday School teacher, served as leader of the Usher Board, organized youth meetings, taught and lead the women as she demonstrated the teaching in her daily living.

She loved and enjoyed spending time with her husband Lawrence. She loved being spoiled by her husband. Mother Windom loved her husband and knew that her husband loved her. For 49yrs of marriage to her husband Lawrence, being a wife and demonstrating that of a wife, she found it to be a joy. She loved being a wife to her husband and would proudly make it known in various places she went by some kind of way making sure it was known that she had been married to her husband 49yrs almost 50.  She was a great cook and baker. One Christmas she cooked 17 cakes, each cake was different. She prided herself in being a homemaker; decorating the home, having the touch of an interior decorator, taking care of the family, making sure that her family was well set to go out from the house. Mother loved praying for the family, there would be times late in the night hours she could be heard praying, "Lord bless my husband, bless our family, bless the church, devil you ain't got no power, God got all power." Being a righteous woman, she knew her identity. She loved her husband and the children.

Mother Windom (Honey) was preceded in death by her father, Son Mason and mother Mattie Bell Lewis, daughter Brenda Johnson, and son Lee Berta Thomas.

Her memories of life will forever be kept in hearts and mind by her much loving husband of almost 50 years Lawrence R. Windom (the man that she loved and thought the world of him); her two sons: HK Thomas (Betty) and Lawrence Windom Jr. (Neka); two daughters: Jessie Murray, Cynthia Williams, grandchildren 13+, great grandchildren 14+, niece 1, nephew 1 and a host of other relatives and friends.
