Memorial service for Mr. Nickolus Randeal Caldwell Sr., 41 of Killeen, TX, will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.

Nickolus Randeal Caldwell Sr., affectionately known as "Big Nick," was born on December 1, 1984, in Detroit, Michigan, to Patricia Caldwell and Michael Kent. He was born and raised in Detroit, where he attended Kettering High School and was a member of People's Community Missionary Church in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Caldwell passed away March 24, 2026, in Temple, TX.

In 2005, Nickolus moved from Detroit, Michigan, to Killeen, Texas, where he made his home and remained for the rest of his life.

Nickolus began dating La-Kisha Johnson Caldwell on February 10, 2004, and the two were later united in marriage on February 14, 2011. Over the years, they built a life together and shared many experiences as husband and wife.

Nickolus was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who deeply valued family. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, La-Kisha Johnson Caldwell; his son, Nickolus Caldwell Jr. and daughter-in-law (Myah), affectionately known as "Little Nick"; his daughter, Nickira Caldwell; his brother, Kenyatta McCleain; his niece, Aa'laska Campbell, whom he loved dearly and helped raise as his very own daughter; his great-nephew, Ny'Zire Lindsey; and a host of loving cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

Nickolus was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Caldwell; his father, Michael Kent; and his only sister, Shantel Campbell.

Nickolus worked various jobs throughout his life, including many years at Taco Bell and later working as a custodian at a daycare, until his health began to decline and he was no longer able to continue working. He loved life and enjoyed spending time with those closest to him.

Nickolus was proud of his Detroit roots and was a dedicated Detroit Lions fan, always supporting his team. He had a deep love for music of all genres, which brought him joy. He especially enjoyed family kickbacks, laughing, listening to music, and spending time with his cousins and loved ones. He also enjoyed simple favorites such as French fries and Faygo pop, which reminded him of home.

Above all, Nickolus loved being around family and creating moments filled with laughter and togetherness. His presence and memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.
