Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Marie Lee, 96 of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Westside Baptist Church, Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the church.

Sister Nellie M. Lee was born to the late Mary Hill Franklin on May 29, 1929, in Douglasville, Texas. She spent her early childhood years in Dangerfield, Texas. She also spent time in San Diego, California before returning back to Texas to assist her mother after her mother took ill. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a strong woman of faith and believed in her savior. She attended Pershing Park Baptist Church for many years. Nellie attended Yates High School in Houston, Texas, where she met her loving husband, Howard Lee, whom she has been married to for 73 years. On October 14, 2025, they would have been married 74 years.
Nellie was an only child and desired to have a large family. To this union, 11 children were born. As a military wife, Nellie traveled overseas with her husband and two children in 1955 to Yokohama, Japan. After leaving Japan in 1956, Nellie and her family transferred to Ft. Hood, Texas where she spent five years. In July 1961, after leaving Ft. Hood, Texas, Nellie and her family transferred to Stuttgart Germany where she spent an additional five years. She then returned to Ft. Hood, Texas, where she spent the remaining of her life raising her family. Nellie enjoyed playing bingo, putting puzzles together, watching wresting, baking and traveling with her children to tropical destinations.
She had five children that proceeded her in death: Pauline, Priscilla, Walter, Jeffrey and Ronald; three grandchildren, Darius Westbrook, Keyara Cain and Carleen Mackey.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, husband Howard Lee, her children Linda (Walter), Kittey, Cynthia, Patricia (Ian), Jerome and Mark (Kameka); twelve grandchildren, Quentin, Janay, Isaiah, Iyana Micheal (Latoya), Tameka, Eddie, Farah, Ryan, Nayette, Lorenzo and Donshell; nine great-grandchildren, Darius Jr., Mason, Major, Angelina, Akira, Moses, Micheal Jr., Zaylan and Pierre; and a host of other family members and friends.
