Funeral service for Ms. Sallie W. Barnes, 90 of Killeen, TX will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Ms. Barnes passed away September 1, 2026, in Harker Heights, TX. She was born April 26, 1936, in Metter, GA.

Miss Sally W. Barnes was born on April 26, 1936, in Metter, Georgia. She graduated from Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, Florida. Through on-the-job training, Sally began her career as a Respiratory Therapist. She later moved to Augusta, Georgia, where she worked as a Respiratory Therapist for Civil Service at Fort Gordon until her retirement. 

In 2004, Sally moved to Texas, which she proudly called home for the remainder of her life. 

Sally was known for her deep love of church, her beautiful voice in the choir, and her willingness to help anyone in need. She will always be remembered for her benevolent spirit, open heart, and wealth of knowledge.

 She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Purcell Cason of Killeen, Texas; her grandson, Sher’ron E. Nichols; two great-grandsons, Sher’ron Nichols and Tristan Nichols; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. 

Her loving spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
