A service to celebrate Annemarie's life will be held on November 1, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Herb & Earnie's Family Diner, located at 212 S. Main St. in Copperas Cove, Texas. The family invites all who knew and loved Annemarie to join them in honoring her memory.
Annemarie, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Born on June 4, 1945, in Germany, Annemarie was the beloved daughter of the late Marianne Harris and Gilbert Shigo. She is now reunited with her parents in eternal peace.
Annemarie's legacy is carried forward by her devoted children: Missy Manke and her husband Rick, Mindy Keith and her husband Don, and Betina Cash and her husband Andy. She was the proud grandmother of four: Jackie, Kristin, Tyler, and Dylan, and great-grandmother to eight: Zoey, Nolan, Gage, Knox, Mason, Marshall, Crew, and Murphy. Her siblings, Roswitha Krug, James Harris, Bonita Harris, and Debbie Harris Edwards, along with five nieces and three nephews, also survive her, carrying on the family bond she cherished deeply.
Annemarie's journey through life was marked by love and commitment. She shared her life with two wonderful partners: Howard Roach, with whom she had her daughters Missy and Mindy, and Herbert Vaux, with whom she welcomed her daughter Betina. Her family was the center of her world, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with them.
For nearly three decades, Annemarie dedicated her career to serving others as a van driver for the Copperas Cove Senior Center. Her strong work ethic and willingness to help anyone in need were hallmarks of her character, qualities she maintained even until her passing. She touched countless lives with her kindness and dedication.
Outside of work, Annemarie found joy in simple pleasures. She had a passion for bingo and loved watching German movies, which reminded her of her roots. Most importantly, she treasured the moments spent with her family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Annemarie's warmth and compassion will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
