Funeral services for Mrs. Lorraine O'Quinn-Oatman, 72 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, March 26, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Viewing will be held one hour prior to service (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.
Mrs O'Quinn-Oatman passed away March 17, 2021 in Harker Heights, TX.
Lorraine Oatman was born July 23, 1948 to parents Lessie Williams and Alvin Bonner in Los Angeles, CA.
Lorraine attended Compton College for a short period of time, where she studied Computer Tech. She also spent a few years working in healthcare. After a short marriage with Carlee Quinn, she dedicated her life fully to Christ and began to focus on her relationship with the Lord by serving alongside her mother at Temple of Deliverance Mission Church.
While at Temple of Deliverance, she met and grew a friendship with Deacon Jesse Oatman, which after a few years developed into a relationship then marriage. Deacon Jesse Oatman and Lorraine Oatman were married on August 17, 1989. Through marriage Lorraine gained five stepchildren. Together Lorraine and Jesse built several businesses together: Lorraine's Soul Food Palace, Three in One Boutique, Oatman's Lawn Service, Trend 2000 Real Estate Investment Club, and the most prominently known, Oatman's General Contractor.
Lorraine continued her walk with Christ as part of the Grace Christian Center Church family for 10 years until she became ill and was unable to attend.
Left to cherish her memory: husband, Jesse J. Oatman; children, Philessia Edwards, DuShon Quinn, and Nikitia Adams; stepchildren, Latonia (Altus) Thompson, Lakeisha Oatman, Demetra Hamilton, Devin (Carolyn) Harris. and Bettina Harris; grandchildren, Laporsche Adams, Emmanuel Adams, and Adam Quinn; great-grandchildren, Maliyah Adams, Esme Adams, and Sienna Adams; nephews, Shubba (Nichelle) Erby and Joshua Williams; niece, Tosha Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends across California, Texas and Wisconsin.
She is preceded in death by her mother Lessie Williams, father Alvin Bonner and late sister Phyllis Williams.
