It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yves M. Belizaire, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, and honorable veteran, who passed away tragically on August 29, 2026, in a car accident while on his way home to his family.
Yves was born on October 9, 1989, in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, to his loving mother, Seraphine Gillot, and his father, Pierrot Belizaire. From a young age, Yves dreamed of building a better life for himself and for the people he loved.
In May 2011, shortly after completing his first semester of 12th grade in Haiti, Yves came to the United States in search of a better future. But even as he began building a new life for himself, he never forgot where he came from or the people he loved. His mother, Seraphine, held a very special place in his heart. His love for his mother was so strong that, despite the distance and the responsibilities of his new life in America, he made it a priority to return to Haiti in 2012 to see her.
This was simply who Yves was—a man who loved, gave generously, and would do whatever he could to make sure the people he loved were taken care of.
In 2014, Yves met the love of his life. Their relationship blossomed, and on July 19, 2015, they were married. Together, they built a beautiful family and were blessed with four daughters: Alyssa Aly, Brianna Belizaire, Arianna Belizaire, and Yvanka Belizaire. His family became the center of his world, and everything he did was driven by his desire to see them happy, safe, and provided for.
In May 2010, Yves answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army. His service was a meaningful chapter of his life, bringing him new experiences, lifelong friendships, and a deeper sense of purpose. After his service, Texas became the place where Yves continued building the life he had prayed for. There, he created lasting friendships for which his family will always be grateful, grew his family, and continued working hard to provide a better future for those he loved. Yves gave himself freely and never hesitated to work hard or make sacrifices for the people he loved.
Yves dreamed of one day building his own trucking company, always believing that there was more he could accomplish for his family. Although that dream was cut short, we believe Yves lived a life that was full of purpose. He enjoyed the fruits of his hard work, cherished the people God placed in his life, loved his family deeply, and lived with faith in God. Above all, Yves was a man who prayed, worked hard, loved deeply, and trusted God with his journey. His life may have been shorter than we wished, but it was filled with love, family, friendship, faith, and memories that will remain with us forever.
Though his life was taken far too soon, the love Yves gave will continue through his wife, his four beautiful daughters, his mother, his family, his friends, and everyone whose life he touched. His kindness, generosity, determination, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
